RV Camper Battery Disconnect

If you’re like me, you have every possible gizmo or gadget for your camper from a Digital weather station to that really slick Power Tongue jack.  One of the worst situations when camping in an RV trailer (other than a full black water tank) is having your trailer batteries go dead.  Now try lifting that power jack or running your RV Water Pump for example.  I’ve even had those silly Smoke Detectors and CO Monitors drain my batteries while it was in storage over the winter months.  Not any more….

I installed a Battery Disconnect switch.  Easy to install and a snap to use – even for the Mrs!  Just rotate the color coded knob and your battery is isolated from the RV and its many parasitic energy drains.  I installed mine on the negative (ground) side using a sealed switch like this one:
