HOW TO READ MLB STANDINGS

Today’s time is 4:06 PM EDT on Tuesday, June 15, 2018.

WIN / WIN + LOSS EX. NEW YORK YANKEES 103-59 103 / 103+59 OR 103 / 162 =.636 OR 63.6%

The Records have been revised. Following the conclusion of each game, the MLB Standings are updated in real time. The GB column is an acronym for Games Back, and it indicates how much teams are behind the leader of their division, or, to put it another way, how far teams are behind first place. The Major League Baseball is organized into six divisions, each of which is comprised of three teams from both the Eastern and National Leagues. The HomeandAwayRecords in the Major League Baseball Standings are an important stat to pay attention to since it indicates how well a club performs while playing as a guest.

Probably the most useful feature is theStreakscolumn, which displays the number of consecutive wins or defeats a club presently has going into their next encounter with another squad.

WHAT ARE MLB WILD CARD STANDINGS?

The MLB Standings includes a section titled “MLB Wild Card Standings,” which is short for Major League Baseball Wild Card Standings. Upon the start of the postseason, the three division champions from both the American League and the National League are awarded automatic entry into the postseason in both leagues. Other clubs were given postseason opportunities by the Major League Baseball, first with one in 1994 and then two the following year. Each season, two teams from both the American League and the National League will meet in a one-game playoff, with the loser being eliminated and the victor advancing to the Divisional Series against the top seed.

The columns given are similar to those in the Major League Baseball standings: win, loss, percent, and GB (Games Back).
