FYB Cooperstown – Fishhawk Youth Baseball

Submissions for the Cooperstown team in 2022 are no longer being accepted at this time. Cooperstown Player Intention to Participate in Tryouts An application for the Cooperstown Team Manager The FYB Cooperstown squad is comprised of the following individuals: Fishhawk Youth Baseball will send a team to the annual 12U competition at Dreamspark in Cooperstown, New York, on July 15th and 16th. Every Fall, a player tryout is held to determine who will make the squad. FYB’s Advanced Baseball (AB) program is where the Cooperstown squad plays their home games.

  • Due to scheduling conflicts with the other AB teams, the FYB Cooperstown squad will only hold tryouts in the fall.
  • In addition to their obligations to practice and games, athletes and their families will be expected to engage in all fund-raising efforts during the season.
  • To be eligible to try out for the FYB Cooperstown squad, a player must have participated in at least one of the previous two recreational seasons at Fishhawk Youth Baseball.
  • In order to try out for the Cooperstown Team, only players in the main division (11U or 12U) are eligible.
  • In other words, a player who competes as an 11U player will not be eligible to participate as a 12U player.
  • Manager Eligibility: In order to be considered for the position of manager of the FYB Cooperstown team, the manager candidate must have managed at least two of the previous four seasons at Fishhawk Youth Baseball.

TRYOUTS: September 1819 and September 2021. Registration is from 11:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Both days, the start time is 12:00 p.m. Please register in advance on the internet. Visitors who arrive on their own are welcome. It is directly across the street from Oshkosh West High School that the Red Arrow Diamonds may be found. Keeping this in mind, Cooperstown Dreams Park’s objective to establish a youth baseball camp with 22 baseball fields that would attract around 1,500 children baseball players, ages 12 and younger, each week over the summer has been a complete success. In talking with many of the families who have traveled from all over the country, we’ve found that they have a positive outlook on the overall experience. They express delight at the prospect of playing baseball in Cooperstown and are pleasantly surprised by the natural beauty of the Otsego County area, which they had never seen before.
