Braves vs. Astros final score, results: Houston forces Game 6 as bats answer early Atlanta slam
Initially, it appeared that Game 5 of the World Series in 2021 would be finished just as soon as it had begun. In the bottom of the first, the Braves scored a grand slam to grab a 4-0 lead over the Astros, who had lost their momentum late in the previous night’s fourth-inning game. Even still, the Astros refused to go away. Their second goal was followed by two more in the third to bring the game to a close. With two outs in the third, the Astros took the lead on Freddie Freeman’s 460-foot solo home shot, but the Astros responded with five straight runs, beginning with a three-run homer in the top of the fifth, to put themselves comfortably ahead of the game.
